GAS SAFE
Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant health and safety authority for each area. By law, all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safety Register and the Registers role is to act as a licensing body.
Gas Safe Register investigates reports of illegal gas work. Gas Safe replaced Corgi on 1 April 2009. Ask to see our official identity card when we visit you and visit the Gas Safe Register website for more details on our registration.
OFTEC is the Oil Fired Technical Association. Their trade association represents the interests of oil storage, appliance, and supply equipment manufacturers and develop courses and assessment material for training providers. They operate a UKAS accredited competent person registration for technicians involved in the installation and maintenance of oil, solid fuel and renewable heating equipment and Part P electrical work.
